Finding Your Perfect Ring Size
There are multiple techniques to identify your perfect ring size. If you possess a ring that fits well, you can measure it or match it with our sizing guide. If you don’t have a ring, you can measure your finger instead. Follow the steps below to discover your ring size.
Method 1: Measuring an Existing Ring
- Begin by selecting a ring that comfortably fits the finger where you plan to wear your new ring.
- Next, measure the internal diameter of the ring using a ruler or measuring tape. Ensure your ruler has millimeter (mm) markings. Place the ring on the ruler and measure the inside circumference, the part that directly touches your finger.
- Refer to our conversion chart to determine the corresponding ring size based on your diameter measurement.
Method 2: Measuring Your Finger
- Begin by cutting a piece of string or paper to a length of approximately 10 centimeters (cm).
- Wrap the string or paper around your finger at the location where you intend to wear the ring. Adjust it so that it fits comfortably, neither too tight nor too loose.
- Use a pen to mark the point where the end of the string or paper meets.
- Lay the string or paper flat against a ruler or tape measure and record the length in millimeters (mm) from the end to the marked point.
- This measurement represents your finger circumference, which you can use to determine your ring size using our conversion chart below.
Expert Tips
- Always verify your measurements to ensure accuracy.
- Finger sizes may slightly vary throughout the day, over time, and with temperature changes. For the most accurate measurement, measure your finger in the afternoon when it's warmed up. If you're between sizes, opt for the larger size (or half size) for a comfortable fit.
- Make sure to measure the exact finger where you plan to wear your ring, or use a ring worn on the same finger for reference. Remember, ring sizes differ between fingers and hands.
- If you're uncertain about the correct size, especially for significant pieces like engagement rings, consult a professional for precise ring sizing.
