Medical Disclosure and Limitation of Liability for Gold-Plated Jewelry

Hi love!

Thank you for choosing our gold-plated jewelry. While our products are crafted with care and attention to detail,
we want to ensure that you are aware of certain medical considerations associated with wearing gold-plated jewelry.
  1. Potential Allergic Reactions: Gold-plated jewelry contains a layer of gold over a base metal. Some individuals may experience allergic reactions to certain metals used in the base, such as nickel or copper. If you have a known allergy to these metals, it is advisable to refrain from wearing gold-plated jewelry or consult with a healthcare professional before doing so.

  2. Skin Discoloration: Due to the materials we use, it is extremely rare, for skin discoloration to occur. However, there may be one-off cases where prolonged or frequent wear of gold-plated jewelry may cause skin discoloration in some individuals. This can result from a reaction between the metals in the base and the wearer's skin chemistry. We can never fully account for or guarantee each and every single person’s skin chemistry reaction. If you notice any skin irritation or discoloration while wearing our jewelry, we recommend removing it immediately and consulting with a dermatologist if necessary.

  3. Care and Maintenance: To preserve the appearance and quality of your gold-plated jewelry, it is essential to follow proper care and maintenance instructions. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and moisture, as these can accelerate tarnishing or cause damage to the plating. Clean your jewelry regularly with a soft cloth to remove dirt and oils. Please check out our Jewellery Care Guide.

  4. Hypoallergenic Options: If you are 100% certain that you are allergic to anything other than pure gold, or you have had an adverse reaction to gold plated jewellery in the past; please refrain from purchasing gold plated jewellery altogether. We have opted for Stainless Steel and Sterling Silver as our base metals, which contain little to no brass or lead. These options minimize the risk of adverse reactions and are suitable for individuals with sensitive skin, however it is important to consider your health first.

  5. Consultation with Healthcare Professionals: If you have any underlying medical conditions or concerns regarding the use of gold-plated jewelry, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before making a purchase or wearing our products.
